Qatar’s Qtel Starts Testing New 3G Service
The third generation (3G) technology already expands to Gulf region. Qatar Telecom has begun testing third generation (3G) service and will commercially launch it in June/July, Qtel chief executive officer, Dr Nasser Marafih has said.
Qtel is the exclusive telecommunications provider in Qatar and is one of the largest public companies in the country with around 1,900 employees.
Qtel provides a range of telecommunications products including national and international, wireline and mobile telephony. It also offers Internet as well as Cable television services. [3G!]
