Hutchison to Move All Customers to 3G
Sooner or later, moving all recent customers in the existing 2G network to the 3G network is very important policy to do by operator. Since the migration could do seamlessly, hopefully customers are experiencing 3G service sooner.
Hutchison Telecommunications will become the first mobile phone provider in Australia to move all its customers to the 3G network as it manoeuvres to keep ahead of the pack of telcos rolling out the high tech service.
In February the company launched a campaign to get customers using its 2G (second generation) service to upgrade to 3G or third generation, which allows them to make video calls and access live mobile TV broadcasts.
Hutchison was the first major telco in Australia to launch the 3G service but the other players have now moved into the market. So, the 3G War will soon come before us…
