Video Phone Journalism Goes Mainstream
Welcome to video phone journalism! BBC has been testing since three years ago.
BBC journalists in the field are using commercially available camera phones on a daily basis. The BBC news organisation has been experimenting using mobile technology or as they call it “participatory social media”. Although the UK-based news company has been toying with video enabled mobile phones since 2003, to file video using the Internet in extreme circumstances, only now is it going mainstream, report Mobile Monday.
