China is moving forward as the world’s fastest growing mobile phone makers. China’s share of total shipments reached approximately 50% of the world’s mobile phone shipments.

Microsoft looks to social networking for Zune 2.0

Microsoft Corp. will take another maneuver at blending social networking with digital music with the release of new Zune music players and will offer consumers 1 million unprotected songs on its online music store.

A contender for iPhone: Verizon’s LG Voyager!

Verizon Wireless will offer the “iPhone killer” category: the Voyager from LG Electronics. The Voyager does include two features not available from Apple’s iPhone: a real keyboard and a fast Internet connection.
