Sony Ericsson and RIM launched Blackberry Connect in Asia Pacific
Sony Ericsson and RIM, yesterday announced its new agreement. They agree to bundle Blackberry Connect software 4.0 into Sony Ericsson P1i in Asia Pacific. The tools will be preloaded in Australia, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand.
The software will support push-based wireless email services, including attachment viewing and wireless email synchronization, in conjunction with both BlackBerry Enterprise Server and BlackBerry Internet Service.
Lennard Hoornik, Sony Ericsson Corporate Vice President and Head of Asia Pacific said, “The robust functionality of the Sony Ericsson P1i together with out of- the-box support for the BlackBerry platform will provide customers with a powerful communications tool that’s both secure and speedy to set up.”
Norm Lo, RIM Vice President, Asia Pacific continued, “With BlackBerry Connect v4.0 support, P1i customers in Asia Pacific will be able to leverage the power of BlackBerry services and enjoy enhanced communications and productivity benefits.”
For existing P1i user, the software can be downloaded in Sony Ericsson website.
