Motorola’s Greg Brown to be CEO
As the news spread, Motorola CEO, Ed Zander will step down by the end of this year. He will be replaced by current President and COO, Greg Brown. He has tough job, since phone competition is now filled with big major player, including Apple’s iPhone.
Motorola, has never created hit since the launch of RAZR. The latest RAZR2 is just another RAZR story and consumer will not buy it again. The era has changing to smart phone and Motorola once again cannot compete with the situation.
The latest Gartner report stated that Motorola is no longer the second largest phone manufacturer. Samsung had taken the crown. What else can Motorola do besides focusing on US and China market as their biggest market? We pray for Mr. Brown to be more creative and has solution to overcome Motorola’s problem.
