Opera Mini now available for BREW platform
Opera Mini, phone browser created by Opera, is now available for Quallcomm’s BREW platform. Long time Java-based application now being converted for US consumer satisfaction. Opera Mini has been used accumulatively by 27 million users.
With Opera Mini, now available on BREW devices, operators and handset manufacturers will be able to leverage Opera Software’s technology to quickly drive feature-rich BREW handsets to the mass market and enable users to access their favorite Web sites from the convenience of their mobile device.
“We are excited to provide Opera with the ability to extend the offering onto BREW-enabled devices,” said Bob Briggs, senior vice president and general manager of BREW for Qualcomm Internet Services. “Opera Mini represents another way that customers can have an enhanced user experience with high speed and content rich Web sites right from their BREW phones.”
