Samsung to create Windows-Mobile-based iPhone competitor
iPhone is truly becoming new benchmark of smartphone industry. Now it is Samsung’s turn to create “iPhone killer” handset. With Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional based, this new phone currently coded i900. What’s so special with this phone?
The device is reported to feature quad-band GSM, 7.2 megabit HSDPA (bands not specified), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 2.0, a 5-megapixel camera with auto-focus, 8 GB of built-in memory, TV-out, GPS, microSD card slot, 1500 mAh battery, and an FM radio. What a full loaded gadget!
The display will fully touch screen and minimize the interaction using keypad. Definitely an iPhone competitor. But the truth is, people is bored with Windows Mobile often-to-hang issue. They turn to Mac-based phone since Mac offered more stability. Despite of the bombastic specification, may the stability of the operating system be the focus of development.
