Due to great response from customer, Japan’s third largest operator, Softbank, is going to enable free-of-charge call service, especially for IP phone subscribers. Started in Hokkaido, Niigata and Ehime, the company will enlarge the area to cover across Japan. This service known as White Call, is being introduced for the first time in Japan.

To be eligible for this service, consumers need to subscribe for both the Softbank Mobile White Plan mobile phone service as well as Softbank BB Corp.’s BB Phone IP phone service using asymmetric digital subscriber lines.
