Nokia N95 8GB new firmware boost performance

The latest firmware of Nokia N95 8GB can make their owners jump in happiness. The new 15.0.015 version brings quite significant performance. The main among them is the added Flash Lite 3 and full flash video support, means that we can view Youtube in full web version.

Samsung to launch cheap phone

Korean largest mobile manufacturer, Samsung, plans to launch the line up of cheap phone. It will be sold in emerging countries to take the share of mobile industry. One more strategy to beat Nokia. The phones is planned to be offered in India, Southeast Asia, and South America.

Japan’s mobile advertising rises 42% in 2007

Dentsu unveiled their research that Japan mobile advertising was projected to reach US$ 3.4 billion in 2007. It grows 42% compared to previous year. Dentsu tracks online advertising in three areas, search ads, mobile ads and fixed Internet ads such as banner, email, rich media and text advertisements. By 2011, Dentsu estimates that Japan's online ad market value will be $6.8 billion. Source: WebProNews

One of three elementary school kids in Japan have cellphone

Reveal in the survey conducted by Goo Research that one of three elementary school kids in Japan have their own cellphone. Will sample size reaches 1100 children, 34.4% said that they have mobile phone for their own use.

Korea’s KTF and Yahoo partnered for mobile RFID

RFID has grown in fast pace lately, thanks to the usefulness of this device as payment media. In Korea, local operator KTF teams up with Yahoo to provide cell phone users directions to restaurants and shops.

Siano launched mobile TV chip to cover Japan and Brazil market

Mobile TV chip maker, Siano, created receiver chip called SMS1100 to cover extra area, including Japan and Brazil market. SMS1100, single receiver chip, supports ISDB-T TV signals that has been standard in Japan and Brazil. It added Siano's current portfolios that has been implemented already in DVB-H, DVB-T, DAB, DAB-IP and T-DMB.

AT&T on talk to buy Malaysia’s TM International stake

A local newspaper reported that US telecom giant, AT&T, is interested in acquiring a stake in Telekom Malaysia unit, TM International. Late last year, Malaysia's largest telecommunications group said it may bring in a foreign strategic partner for TM International. Source: CNN Money

NSN got IVR deal with India’s Bharti Airtel

Bharti Airtel, Indian telecom company, asked Nokia Siemens Network (NSN) to deploy single Interactive Voice Response (IVR) platform across all 23 circles. The multimillion euro deal covers designing, planning, system integration, and optimization services to enhance overall customer experience.
