Demand for 3G is slumping. What’s the big deal?
There are a big buzz out there which said that 3G has failed (I wish 3Gweek hasn’t). The indicator is a fact that comes from the second largest mobile phone chips maker, Texas Instruments which have lowered their revenue expectation on 3G based handsets.
Again, this issue should raise a question? Why people seems don’t want to use this technology? One analyst had made a good perspective in this case. David Manner in Mannerism Blog said that 3G had failed because it couldn’t proved what it should. He pointed out in data rate where his 3G phone could only play in 115 Kb/s while theoretically it could reach 1 Mb/s. So many loss isn’t?
Now, all vendor should learn something from this issue; not to promise their customer with something they actually couldn’t prove it yet.
Just remember the Ask Jeeves case when it promise a better search than the search itself. Too much promise! What are you? A politician?
