2G won’t died soon

Note: In this post I am pretending to be Charles Darwin or something like that.

Human and technology are walking together here on earth. Just like human who will died someday, technology will meet that moment too. Human were born by their ancestor and so does technology. In the history of mankind based on the faith of some religion, Adam and Eve is the first human in earth which from both of them all of us are be able to see this reality. In case of mobile phone, same thing is happening.

The first wireless or mobile phone technology were known as 1G (the analog networks), then 2G (the digital networks), followed with 3G (digital with higher data speeds) and 4G (digital with even more higher data speeds).

We mostly know that 1G has gone today (at least we never heard about it anymore today). Now, what about 2G? Since 3G and 4G have come to us why won’t this old species dissappeared from us. The answer might be: reliability! (in term of price and technology)

As a matter of fact, up to three years onward, analyst said that 2G is still dominating the market with 70% market share among both of its successor. Though 3G and 4G is also gaining an impressive movement nowadays.

For me, it doesn’t matter what technology we will use. Again, what matter most is; reliability! Perhaps this is the same reason why would people keep using Windows (and its variants) when we have Apple Mac arisen in front of us.
