400 million mobile phones in Asia by 2008
Well, this number is just an expectation. Yet Japan isn’t included here. If this report really happen, there is an 8.5% increasing over 2007. IDC’s Analyst, Aloysius Choong said that China and India, two Asia economic jet engine together contribute 40 and 20 percent of total shipments.
On the vendor side, looks like there is nothing big happen. Nokia still lead with more than 50% market share, followed by Samsung with 12.1 percent, Motorola at 8.3 percent, Sony Ericcson at 6.9 percent and LG with 5.2 percent.
