Singapore use cell phone to catch up bandit

Catch him with this!

On the old era when paper is the only easy medium to spread the news, people had used it to announce the public most-wanted bandit. Again, the history are about to change this day. Since paper is likely not to become the only way for police to catch the bad guy. Here comes the new one: mobile phone with MMS (Multimedia Message Service) features inside.

Yup, Singapore polices use million of MMS besides papers to hunt their most-wanted bandit Mas Selamat bin Kastari. Unlike those papers which had been plastered around the island (toilets is a favorite place I think), those MMSs which contain the image of this fugitive is being sent to millions of mobile phone subscribers.

Well, I don’t know what to say but this is a nice threat from Singapore Police since there are about 4,637,700 subscribers in December 2006. That’s 105.4% of their population (Wow). Whoever this guy, he is absolutely skillful enough not being caught till todays.
