Indosat save IDR2.04 trillion in 2007
Indosat Mentari IDR0,00. Nice marketing gimmick.
How much is that in US$? That’s about IDR 2040000000000 / 9300 = US$ 219.354.838. Ummm, actually this is not so big for company like Microsoft or Google isn’t? Both of them had billion of dollars in their account.
Forget it! Congratulation to Indosat (see it via Google Finance) - the Indonesia’s second largest network operator after Telkomsel - since this is a 28-49 percent growth in net profit. Now, let us check this report number by number (in IDR). via Forbes (1, 2, 3, 6, 7, and Cellular News (4 and 5)
- 1.62 trillion net profit in 2005 with 11.59 trillion in sales
- 1.41 trillion net profit in 2006 with 12.24 trillion in sales
- 2.04 trillion in 2007 with 15.7-16.5 in sales
- 16.49 trillion in revenue in 2007 from 12.24 trillion a year earlier
- 45.30 trillion in assets, compared with 34.23 trillion a year earlier
- 9.15 trillion rupiah contributed by celluler business in 2007
- 24.5 million celluler subscribers in 2007, from 16.7 million a year before
- 1 bad news for Indonesian; 41 percent of Indosat is belongs to Singapore Technologies Telemedia, through its 75 percent-owned subsidiary Asia Mobile Holdings (AMH).
Sssttt, I don’t really like to write number actually, especially the last one …
