MasterCard meet MobiActions
MasterCard with their brand-new style ad campaign
I bet we all know what MasterCard is, yet I certainly doubt if you know the second. Well, MobiActions is the first company to offer the Patented Mobile Advertising System. It is based in Australia and has a partnership with famous advertising agent, Urban Marketing Pty Ltd in the same country too.
That make MobiActions different from other players is because they can provide an integrated technology which makes ad campaigns becomes more engaging to the customers of their clients.
The 6th Japan Fashion Week “3GTV Japan” held in Tokyo which is sponsored by MasterCard, is the first time MobiActions took in real actions.
Here is the story of MasterCard’s ad campaign delivered by MobiActions based on their press release:
Visitors of Japan’s MasterCard Fashion week, were prompted to video call into the MasterCard branded MobiActions service and leave a video blog (Vlog) of their experience of the MasterCard Fashion experience. This was then posted directly to the live JFW website, where other mobile video bloggers could view their comments. Through out the video call MasterCard were able to increase their brand experience with MasterCard logo and MasterCard full motion MobiAds (TVCs).
For a good and well understanding on this case, I suggest you to check the video first. Even if MobiActions said like this on their official site:
We pride ourselves on delivering cutting edge campaigns which use the latest in technology and concepts to enable our clients the best use of technology in a creative environment.
Clients somewhat could be freaky enough to try this on a mass market ad campaign since this technology will absolutely depend on the reliability and availability of mobile phones and network operators.
However, MasterCard had made a nice decision by trying this brand-new campaign in an event which its participants are so segmented. Plus, we all probably know what kind of mobile phone were being used by visitor and participant there. I want to guess it; probbaly they wear an LG Prada, N Series, or everything which could symbolize whose the owner is … Yeah, a fashionista!
