The battery to cell phone is soul to human. It is the energy.

It has been a long time for 3GWeek not to give its readers a useful tips on cell phone. The latest post about this category had happened in November 25th, 2007 by our editor Amir Karimuddin. Now, we miss it. As a beginning, we will deliver you a tips on how to make your cell phone battery last longer.

Just to keep my accountability as a blogger, I’ll tell you all that this tips isn’t purely created by me. No, I am not. In fact, I summarized it from a lot of sources around the web via Google. That’s what make this a little bit different. So I hope it will be useful for you, especially for those whose cell phone is their second soul. Yeah, can’t live normally without it. Here they come:

1. Turn the phone off

E.g. when you were being in a place where finding signal is such an impossibility.

2. Stop searching for a signal

When you extremely need a signal even when the place is so desolate, it means you need a cell phone repeater which will amplify the signal to provide near perfect reception anywhere.

3. Turn off all unnecessary sounds

Don’t make it beefing all day long.

4. Use either a ringer or vibrate, but not both

E.g. in a cinema, use the vibrate. But in a public place such as mall, stations, and airport, ring is the perfect one.

5. Decrease your screen’s brightness to 50%

The brighter your cell phone, the lower its energy

6. Turn your backlight setting down

Choose the 5 or 10 seconds options. When you feel both of them are too short, then change it into longer one i.e. 15 seconds or above.

7. Turn off Bluetooth when you’re not using it

Don’t forget this one. It suck your cell phone energy faster than you would ever think.

8. Turn off infrared when you’re not using it

Same with number 7.

9. Turn off applications when you’re not using them

Do you use the Safari or Pocket Excel every time. If you’re not, then close it.

10. Keep your phone in cool climates

Hot car or machine, hot laptop, hot game console. That’s to name you a few.

11. When you’re phone is done charging, unplug it!

According to BatteryUniversity, “Once the battery is fully charged, no further charge is applied.”

12. Don’t let your battery fully discharge

If you let your battery die frequently, you’re putting extra strain on the battery.

13. Don’t do anything fun on your phone

Gaming, web browsing, mp3 player, video call, MMS, Radio FM, photo or video editing (worst ideas), etc.
