Nokia Music Store launched in Australia
Nokia Music Store in Australia. Nokia’s trooper to face the Apple’s predators: iTunes.
Nokia seems to be fanatically in entertainment nowadays. After gave reborn their N-Gage on April 3 and planned to give music from Universal Music for free, yesterday the Old Finnish had announced the opening of the 7th Nokia Music Store (NMS) in Australia . Previously, Nokia Music Store are already available in United Kingdom, Germany, Finland, Ireland, Italy, and the Netherlands.
Nokia Music Store to Nokia is just iTunes to Apple. This store allowing Nokia users to browse and buy music in order to download on their PC’s and compatible Nokia mobile devices. Same like iTunes, NMS also delivering millions of tracks, whether from global hits to local artists and giving its consumers the real freedom to enjoy music at their fingertips, 24/7.
At the launching time, Nokia spokeswoman said that:
“We want to be the most locally relevant music store and will feature artists such as The John Butler Trio, The Presets, Pete Murray, Kate Miller Heidke, Powderfinger, Silverchair, Lior, Cut Copy, Kisschasey, Kasey Chambers and many more!”
With a single account, Australian music lovers can access the Nokia Music Store via their personal computer or directly from their optimized Nokia devices including the Nokia N95 8GB, Nokia N81 8GB and the N82.
Regardless that quotes above, it is still frankly to mention that this NMS has not support the Apple platform yet, whether for Safari browser or Mac OS. Well, how can a big player like Nokia doesn’t support those cool entertainment environment in this day?
Safari and Mac OS are not supported yet. But when?
If I have a right to make a statement in this blog, perhaps this is how Nokia tighten Apple’s market shares. Since iPhones took its debut in 2007 and comes with iPod plus iTunes inside, Nokia realize that Apple someday could become their predator. In fact, USA has become the place where Apple proof it. In this Apple’s homeland for Q1 this year, Nokia sales or profit have decreased. Check Nokia Press Release to make this statement even stronger.
