SingTel officially bring iPhone to South East Asia
Help me in welcoming world’s most ….. gadget.
After flew to India through Vodafone, now iPhone finally hit South east Asia via SingTel. Now you have to believe me since I got this one from Reuters.
Here you are:
SINGAPORE (Reuters) - Singapore Telecommunications Ltd (STEL.SI: Quote, Profile, Research) and its mobile associates will bring Apple Inc’s (AAPL.O: Quote, Profile, Research) popular iPhone to Singapore, India, Australia and the Philippines later this year, Southeast Asia’s largest phone company said on Monday.
SingTel said that it, Bharti Airtel Ltd, Globe Telecom Inc, Australian unit Optus had signed the agreement with Apple.
Poor Reuters, they don’t tell us whether Apple will give these regions their 2G iPhone or the 3G version. I think this issue is stil important for South East Asian people since these region are not like Japan which need not international 2G standard anymore. Standard which 2G iPhone has to come with.
Oh man, I hope Telkomsel will bring it for Indonesian!
