250.000 outlets is ready to sell iPhone in India

iPhone will be everywhere in the world like iPod.

iPhone wanna-be-buyers in India is should be happy when reading this. Riyaz via MacNN said that there will be about 250.000 stores are ready to serve and support the sales of iPhone in India. This huge amount of retail outlets set India as the world’s largest country in term of iPhone’s outlets. Even USA, country where iPhone has been born, only provide about 7000+ outlets via AT&T exclusive contract.

Thanks for Vodafone and Bharti Airtel which make this number happened. However, great thanks should be given to Jobs & Co’s since they are eager to change their previous exclusivity with the new inclusive sales strategy.

In India, the iPhone will be priced at Rs 23,000 (about $545). Unfortunately, this gizmo is still likely to comes with carriers inside; Vodafone and Bharti Airtel. I don’t know what Indian reaction to this decision but as long as I know, this will attract Indian hackers or geeks to put their Ad campaign via AdSense with this word “Free software to unlock Indian iPhone”. Yeah …. we’ll see.
