Philips 198 and 199 heading to Asia, Europe
Mobile phone makers are still competing to win the low end phones market. Asia is one of the emerging market for this sector. Philips announces a new low-end handset that have very basic features, measuring 99 x 42 x 13.5 mm and weighing only 65 grams.
This company offers two variations of this entry phone. The Philips 198 is the basic model while the Philips 199 is the “more advance” model with the inbuilt FM radio.
It has simple keypad with 4-way navigation key and a miniUSB connectivity option. The Philips 198 and 199 should be available in a few months for about $62.

Still pretty expensive for me. I hope i can find the-less-than-$60 LG with microSD’s support. Cool!
