Hutchison bring iPhone to Hongkong and Macau
Three and iPhone. That’s cool!
Great news from the dashboard of Asia; iPhone will come to Hong Kong and Macau via Hutchison Telecommunications International Ltd. 3GWeek also have another “X company to bring iPhone to Z countries” here …. read it carefully guys, since few of them is just a rumor.
The company which popular with its service named 3, said that they had signed an agreement on Thursday with Apple to bring the iPhone to Hong Kong and Macau later this year.
Some interesting part on this deal are:
- Whether Hutchison pick the 2G iPhone or the 3G one (perhaps they want both)? Just for information here, Hutchison do 2G and 3G service on both countries. Besides in Israel.
- Whether Hutchison will bring it to other countries too such as Indonesia, Vietnam, Sri Lanka, and Israel?
Just bring it on to Indonesia … Hutchy
Since I am an Indonesian and I live here too, of course, the second question is far more interesting than the first one.
Next three colors iPhone by Three 3 … Mau (you want some)?
If we watch and keep an eye to the growth of cellphone market in Indonesia, I dare to predict that there is a good chance for Apple and Hutchison or any other vendors to make a big bang with iPhone. The first reason is that Indonesian seems to love such new things, iPhone will get into the list here since none of them using it right now (except the illegal 2G version). The second, they will even have more passion to buy the iPhone if Hutchison dare to give it with a contract that automatically reduce the price of the handset itself.
Ask yourself
Look Wim, do you think you really need to change your handset with this Apple creation when it has come to Indonesia? Hmmm, I would love to say yes but I would love to have Hutchison guys pitch me to hand it on and review it here, in 3GWeek …… lol!

Wow, Aldi. can you give me the link or source for that rumors. As long as I know, Telkomsel is probably the most capable operator to hadnle iPhone business in a country like Indonesia.
They are the biggest one in Indonesia. And they even a good and lucky company too.
