Introducing the Nokia 7610 Supernova

The Nokia 7610 Supernova is a stylish and geek enough.

Good news for Nokia lovers, Kim Poh Liaw from Slashphone showed off another Supernova fashion mobile phone, the 7610 slider. Just to remind you that this one is different than the old 7610. From its appearance, I bet this is much better than the 7310 Supernova. But not just the look and feel, but also the specs. With this cellphone in your hand, you are not just showing yourself as a stylish but also a confident geek :)

Take a look here:

  1. Network: GSM Quadband (850/900/1800/1900 MHz) GPRS / EDGE
  2. Camera: 3.2 megapixel with flash LED, auto focus
  3. microSD card slot, support up to 2 GB
  4. Dimension: 98 x 48 x 15 mm
  5. Weight: 99 grams
  6. Display: QVGA screen with 16 million colors, 240 x 320 pixels
  7. OS: Symbian 40
  8. 64 MB internal memory
  9. Bluetooth (could be ver 2.0)
  10. FM radio with RDS
  11. 330 minutes talk time
  12. 300 hours standby time

With this specs, we know that it will be a little more expensive than the 7310 Supernova. But still, it is worth to choose. Even if we compare it with the old 7610, this new slider is much better. You need some proofs, don’t you? Okay, let see a bit closer.

Multimedia and entertainment

Are you ready to take the shot?

The old 7610 comes with 1 MP 1152 x 864 pixels while the new one built in with 3,2 MP plus auto focus and an LED flash. What a different. On Radio, this Supernova let you enjoy FM radio with RDS (Radio Data System), a built-in music player, and support for external memory via microSD cards up to 2 GB while the old doesn’t have any.

Drawback

Both old and new 7610 are not a 3G handset, so it will make them to be not good enough while surfing the web. In case if you’re a web 2.0 guys, this one is not for you then.

Availability

Based on a report by Unwired, this fashion phone possibly will be launched at CommunicAsia 2008, June 17, 2008 in Singapore. Well, our managing editor will fly away to watch this event. I hope he will give us some live pictures of 7610 side by side. Hey, what about the price? We have no information about this yet. Unfortunately! Dear Mr. Budi, go find it please :)
