3 Indonesia choose NeuStar for their IM service

This is official. NeuStar, Inc. a tech company from UK will handle the Instant Messaging Service for 3 Indonesia. This agreement had gone through on June 4, 2008.

On this deal, 3 Indonesia will implement NeuStar’s industry-leading Mobile Messaging Gateway (MMG) to deliver mobile Instant Messaging solutions to its customers. Working closely with popular ISP-based Instant Messaging brands, NeuStar will connect 3 Indonesia’s customers with a number of PC-based IM networks, providing the tools they need to keep connected to their IM “buddies” anytime, anywhere.

3 Indonesia is the latest of numerous 3 operators worldwide that have partnered with NeuStar to deliver mobile IM services to their subscribers. NeuStar and 3 have had other successful implementations in the Asia-Pacific region (specifically in Hong Kong and Macau) as well as in Europe. Well, look it that both countries. Aren’t they supposed to be the countries where iPhone will fly to? Yeah, so what? Will Mr. Budi Putra make it with his analyst a couple days ago? We’ll see.

Unfortunately, the press release didn’t give us the specific information on that ISP-IM brands. Can it be Yahoo Messenger? Of course, yes it can! Because in Indonesia, the term YM is a default term for Chatting through IM. No IM like Yahoo Messenger in Indonesia.

Viva Yahoo! Viva Jerry!

Update:

I did it again. I just watched in TV commercial that 3 obviously use the popular Yahoo Messenger as their Instant Messaging Client. The price is cheap enough. It is just Rp. 10.000, 00 (US$1.2) per month. What a price.
