3GWeek June 2nd Sunday Carnaval

The HTC Touch Pro. Yet another 3G iPhone serious contender.

This is a week of what I don’t know. But one thing for sure, today at 10.00 AM Steve Jobs will be the center of gravity at San Francisco, Moscone West. At least for the vast majority of blog and bloggers in gadget blogosphere. Perhaps, there is a connection between tomorrow Apple WWDC 2008 with my post on “3G iPhone pictures; fact or fake?“. Currently, 3GWeek have got about 800+ visits in less than a day. Roaarrr, hey bloggers, you should post this pictures at your blog too to know the difference then.

Two days ago, I also published a pretty funny post on iPhone which presented the box (just a box dude) of 3G iPhone. I took it from Mr. Gadget Australia and their alibi for this picture seems to be somewhat “bureaucratic”; they said that resellers across the country have already received similar packages. Yes we got that! For more rumors and official news on iPhone, you can check our iPhone category as well.

Friendster case to be continued

On Friendster, we got two posts. One of them is from me which I considered as a trivial news since I couldn’t proof it very well. But the other one is pretty good, Mr. Amir gave you a step by step on how to access Friendster desktop version via mobile device with anonymous proxy. We also would love to acknowledged our commentators named Kei9 for his/her support on this issue. Besides all of this, 3Gweek also proud when Friendster Team left their messages through comment section here. This is what the message look like:

To everyone who has provided us with your suggestions on how to improve Friendster Mobile, thank you for your input. In the coming days, you’ll see us add more functionality. We’ve added the ability to view your comments and your friends’ comments today and we’ll be adding the ability to post, approve and delete comments very shortly. Afterwards, we’ll continue to add more popular features from the desktop version but if you haven’t found what you’re looking for, you can go to http://www.friendster.com from your mobile phone and access the Help page. Thanks again for your feedback.

League between Nokia, the silver SE X1, and HTC Touch Pro

On gadget news and review, we got four posts. Two came from Nokia; The introduction of Nokia 7610 Supernova and The secrets behind Nokia phone’s design. The last one is a special post by Indonesian senior tech journalist, Zatni Arbi who have just come back from Nokia Design Center in Soho, London. While another post was about the silver Sony Ericsson X1 and a review on HTC Touch Pro.

Quick Report on Global Telecom Industry

We gave you four posts in this section. Here they are; a summary of report on global CDMA Q1 2008 subscribers by CDG, a quick report and analyst by Gartner on global smartphone market share, and one more Gartner report on global cellphone sales. There one is a big issue which we want our readers need to know, that LG had overtaken Sony Ericsson as the fourth largest cellphones manufacturer.

Local news and issues from Indonesian telecommunication

Our Managing Editor, Budi Putra started this section with a news from Axis. The title is pretty intriguing though; “Indonesia’s AXIS launches the cheapest data service“. Hmm, as always, the term “cheapest” will only be valid till August 31, 2008. So hurry up Indonesian!

On another side, we had covered a news on the launching of Instant Messaging service by 3 Indonesia. This Hutchison service use the technology from UK-based tech company named NeuStar, Inc. The two interesting parts are that they clever enough to use Yahoo Messenger as their IM client and they offer this service for only less than US$2 per month without any strict limitation. Awesome! Check the simple tutorial from Mr Amir on how to use and access Yahoo Messenger from cellphone too.

And finally, one of the Indonesian “public enemy“, ST Telemedia (or popular as Temasek) had officially sold out all of their 40.8% shares at Indosat to Qatar Telecom. Guess how much it is? US$ 1.8 billon, it is three times higher than the cost this Singapore-based used to invest at the first time (US$ 600 million).
