Hmmm, a $5000 Christian Dior cellphones. Forget it!

For everybody who have tired reading about low or mid end cellphone, Christian Dior has an answer for you. Introducing the $5000+ Dior cellphone. You may ask me then, how many karat does this gizmo has? Surprise, it has gold for none! This clamshell cellphone is not made with a gold yet Swarovski crystal. A lofty material in the world of fashion.

Specification

Dior cooperate with ModeLabs from France to create this Nokia’s Vertu contender. The research and development cost for this cellphone was not cheap though. ModeLabs itself need about several million euros to make it live. This Dior cellphone will be divided into two versions. The first is the high-end model which comes with a crocodile skin and about 640 Swarovski crystals that equal to 3.251 carats. Wow, you should get to shocked to listen the price tag; $28,360. While the “lower end” model will cost at $5000,00. Both of them will also come with 2 MP camera and 2,6 inch touch screen display.

My Dior

Don’t miss this one too; “My Dior” accessories. This mini Dior comes to simplify its users communication experience by replacing the big Dior when they are making calls. Of course, at the same time, users may use the big Dior for other tasks.

Market Target

Funny though, this Dior isn’t intended for US consumers yet for China and Russia. Both places are best known for people who love to spend their money on something like this. In the high end market, Dior cellphone will have a tough competition from previous players such as LG and Prada, Samsung and Giorgio Armani, Motorola and Dolce and Gabbana, and finally the Nokia’s Vertu.
