HTC cut prices in Singapore

I don’t know if this is an anticipation of “cheap” iPhone 3G price, but HTC Singapore has already cut several product prices. The products include TyTN II, Touch Cruise, Touch Dual, Touch, Shift P3300. Singapore is going to be one country that sell iPhone (and the 3G version also?).

Here are the suggested retail prices in Singapore (inclusive of 7% GST):

  • HTC TyTN II Sin$ 998 (US$ 730)
  • HTC Touch Cruise Sin$ 968 (US$ 708)
  • HTC Touch Dual Sin$ 848 (US$ 620)
  • HTC Touch Sin$ 588 (US$ 430)
  • HTC Shift Sin$ 2048 (US$ 1500)
  • HTC P3300 Sin$ 588 (US$ 430)

The price is effective per June 12. It is not that cheap, though. Still, anyone seems like bored of using Windows Mobile. They need to taste brand new legit Operating System. If iPhone is everyone’s answer, at any price they want to compete, Windows-based phone will never win.

People need something which is not status quo and Mac will open the road. If Google Android has already in customer’s hand, I believe Windows Mobile market will be getting smaller and smaller, unless they make significant changes.
