Update: iPhone 3G market coverage
See the red spot in the picture above? The red spot represents countries where iPhone 3G will be marketed. The sales strategy of iPhone 3G is quite different to the predecessor. They are going to sale iPhone 3G to more countries, rather than only 6 exclusive countries. This will bring more potential profit for Apple. There will be 70 countries worldwide in total.
You can view bigger picture here. We see that most American (North and South) have been covered. Only Guyana, Suriname, or some little countries in the South that not yet be able to enjoy the iPhone 3G. Also, most Western European countries will be covered too. Several countries in Africa and Middle East have red spot too.
What about Asia? We cover very much information about this lately. As stated in the picture, the iPhone will be available in India, Japan, Philippines, and Australia (yes, Australia is now consider as Asian country).
What about China/Hongkong/Macau, Singapore, or any other South East Asian countries? Let’s wait for more update whether the agreement on distributing iPhone in Singapore by Singtel and in Hongkong/Macau by Hutchison is including the 3G version too.
A clear statement reveals that Indonesia has no red spot at all
