Starhub to introduce Chat Anywhere, a mobile IM service that integrate Live-Yahoo! Messenger
Starhub claimed to be the first network operator to bring this service in Asia. Well, probably they are right. In my country, Indonesia, offering Live Messenger with Yahoo messenger is not an impressive movement since most of Indonesian are not yet familiar with Live Messenger.
But like most of Singaporeans have already know, Microsoft Windows Live Messenger is one of the most popular IM client besides Yahoo! Messenger (check Alexa Rank for details). This service will be available later on this June 2008 with monthly flat fee at S$5.35 (US$3.8). Thankfully, there is no additional data usage charges for the use of the service. Wow, customers must love this offering.
To enjoy this service, users must download the application first into their Java-support mobile phone.
Note:
I am still pretty confuse here. Does the Chat Anywhere application which they meant is the same like this Chat Anywhere application by Lion Max Software? If the answer is yes, then you may download it here. But if it isn’t, Starhub should have been made a significant mistake here. Especially on naming their service.
