As we have predicted before, Sony Ericsson launched several new products in CommunicAsia-Singapore, of which our managing editor also attending there. The Japan-Sweden manufacturer unveiled not only one or two series, but 5 new series! They range from S, C, K, J to F series.

What a complete warrior in one event! We have discussed about three phones before, yet we haven’t covered two new entry levels, J132 and K330. Besides the phones, the fifth largest mobile manufacturer also introduced 2 HSPA USB modems and 3 new bluetooth handsets.

C905, S302, F305 information

Before we get into the two entry levels short review, just take a look at our preview for S302, C905, and F305. C905 is the first-ever?- GSM phone with 8.1 megapixels camera, F305 is intended for mobile gaming-N-Gage opponent, while S302 is for snapshot entry level.

Yet, we haven’t got any official news about new Walkman codenamed Alicia. F305 is going to be available on Q3 2008, while C905 and S302 will be in the market on Q4. All in selected markets only.

J132 review

Let’s take a look at J132 first. This phone must be the first to be launched this year in J class. The phone is positioned to compete with Nokia’s entry level, like 1100. James Marshall, SE exec said, “We’ve made sure that both of these phones pack all of the essential features and appeal to anyone wanting a durable, no-nonsense mobile.” No non sense, that’s the spirit of the series.

It is equipped with basic phone utilities, including:

• Solid talk and text phone with dust-resistant keypad
• FM radio and loudspeaker – enjoy quality radio entertainment with RDS support
• Handsfree Kit – handle calls on the move
• Radio alarm clock – wake up to your favourite station
• Torch function – find objects in the dark
• Up to 9 hours of talk time or 450 hours standby

For those who use phone as a phone to talk and send message, this J132 is one nice option! J132 will be available in two calm colors, Night Black and Heaven Blue, and will be available in the selected markets by Q4 2008.

K330 review

The new K series is very fit for those with low budget who want to have phone with basic multimedia and nice appearance. It has GRPS connection, VGA camera and bluetooth-ready. Also, they can be installed with Java application and can play mp3 music files.

Here are some of K330’s specs:

• Storage for up to 1000 contacts and 450 text messages
• Capture and store up to 12 minutes of video (in 2 minute clips)
• Snap happy with VGA camera and store up to 250 images
• View photos on the 1.7’’ display
• Listen to music and news on the go via the FM Radio
• Keep track of calories and make your own daily health plan with Health mate
• Torch function – guide your way home with the luminous screen and find objects in the dark

Can’ wait to grab it? Be patient, since the phone will come next Q3 2008 in selected markets. They are going to be blushed with Gold on Black and Green on Black color variants.
