Sony Ericsson S302: the first in Snapshot series

Yet another series of Sony Ericsson. S series, focus on low-res phone result, will be second line of Cyber-shot phones (C series). As the first phone in S line up, we will find S302. The positioning is quite like K250. Great in design, quite good camera, with quite cheap in price tag.

According to Michell Bak, this phone will be officially announced by June 17th, which means tomorrow. It will come in Thunder Grey and Crystal Blue color and be available in market by last quarter this year. No price tag being revealed, but of course will be affordable to many people in emerging countries.

The specs I think is quite good. The phone is good for multimedia, quick snap, and easy to bring anywhere. Here is the complete information about S302:

  • 101 x 46 x 11 millimeters
  • 79 grams in weights
  • 2 inch TFT display with 176 x 220 pixels resolution
  • Battery life is 7 hours for talk and 300 hours for standby
  • Quadband GSM with EDGE support
  • Fair 2 megapixels camera with photolight and PhotoFix software
  • 20 MB internal memory and expandable Memory Stick Micro (M2) external card
  • Support for Bluetooth 2.0 (and A2DP), USB 2.0, and PictBridge

With the launch of this phone, Sony Ericsson has fulfilled their camera series. I am sure that this phone with its cheap will generate great sales for Sweden-Japan mobile manufacturer and help them grab fourth position in global market share.
