Japan people queue too for iPhone 3G

Well, not only in USA or New Zealand, Japan people also feel the excitement of iPhone 3G launching by queueing. They are lining up two days before the original D-day. About 30 person reported to queue in front of Softbank Mobile shop in downtown Tokyo, since the store will open at 7 AM, earlier than any other Softbank store.

25 years old Hiroyuki Sano is becoming the first in line. He is a graduate student who also big fans of Apple (and its products). He began to queue since Tuesday, three days before the original launching. He comes from Nagoya and even brings his own foldabable chair. Dunno how he takes a pee and still becoming number one in front of the store.

iPhone 3G in Japan is sold by Softbank Mobile (formerly Vodafone), the third largest mobile operator in the country. The price tag is as same as being charged to American. Quite a doubt for iPhone 3G to be very successful in Japan (successful yes, but maybe not “very”), since the phone capability isn’t superior compared to common Japan phones, made by Sharp, Panasonic, or Sony Ericsson.

iPhone 3G cannot be used to watch TV or pay anything using RFID.
