Jonny Gladwell: first iPhone 3G owner

Seems like the weather (and the price) is not matter to him. 22 years old student who study physiotherapy was becoming the first ever iPhone 3G owner, as New Zealand is the first to sell iPhone 3G in the world. The New Zealander queued for 55 hours (more than 2 days), while the temperature is getting frizzier. Luckily, he will pay this phone for free, since his friend was offering him to pay if he stucks in line for 3 nights.

Jonny said in interview with cnet Australia:

“I have been standing on the street, playing with my laptop and using the phone to order things. I got 45 minutes of sleep on the first night and six hours on the second night. It was very cold. They said it got down to zero degrees.”

He skipped several days of his college, but he is sure to catch up all those things. Remember, the actual price of 24 months iPhone 3G installment is not cheap. Consumer may have to pay up to NZ$ 3,000 after two years! It is about US$ 2200 with current currency exchange.

Well, again Jonny… congratulation to be the first iPhone 3G owner worldwide!
