So this is the day when I’m a little bit unimpressed with the iPhone 3G. Why? You need not to know it anyway but let’s just assume that I want to give more focus on Blackberry right now. Compared to iPhone 3G, RIM’s Blackberry is always a gadget most Indonesian are love most. At least because it is the real and proven one. Don’t believe me? Just drop our managing editor an email then. He is one of the Indonesian Blackberry’s user and lover I guess.

Yesterday, our fellow bloggers from BGR had been busy enough to report all things about Blackberry Bold. They had completely reviewed it then guessed when would this 3G agent crushed the market. Well, they said that September would be the month of the launch. Hmmm, perhaps they could be right but not exactly actually.

Today, July 17, AustralianIT report that RIM has confirmed that the Bold or Blackberry 9000 will be launched on July 29, 2008. Four mobile carriers; Telstra, Optus, Vodafone and 3 Mobile are those lucky big boys whose got the chance to sell it to Australian customers. However, none of them has disclosed the price and Bold’s sales debut yet.

Just for your information, in USA, AT&T is rumored to sell this HSDPA candy bar at US$300 or (AUS$307). But just like any other carriers, they don’t want to break the price information either.

So? Is it going to hit the stores on September or not?

Probably it is, but chances are that it won’t be that longer. I predict that August is the best month for RIM to sell it. Just a guess. Hope me right okay? However, if only what BGR had reported is true than it is better for RIM to sell it on September though, or even later that that since it still has a problem with its technical specification.

It looks like there are still some problems with the radio code that have to do with network roaming, searching, etc. The Bold software has not even gone GM3 yet, and with weekly builds still coming out, there’s nothing to be shipped at this point in time. The hardware side is done, but as usual, these units are waiting for the final flash to start FedExing.
