SK Telecom: sound wave to repel mosquitoes
Your sleep is disturbed by the mosquitoes every night? If you are living in South Korea, this annoying thing (probably) won’t happen again. SK Telecom-the largest operator in the country-offers new way to banish little enemy. An ultra sound wave can be downloaded and-although cannot be heard by human being-will repel mosquitoes in 1 meter range.
How it works? The ultrasonic sound tries to mimic male mosquito buzz, something that female mosquito tries to avoid. The fee is US$ 2.5. If this sound wave really works, it will be a very cheap solution in Korean hot mid summer condition.
SK Telecom is the largest mobile operator in South Korea, with total subscribers to date reach 17 million. It is more than 50% of domestic market.
