Nokia S60 touch screen revealed?
Is this the interface which will be inserted by Nokia into their 5800 Tube? The S60 touch screen is the new implementation of popular S60 series from Symbian. While the specification remains secret, the screenshot of S60 touch screen UI has been leaked in the Internet. The leaked version is taken from Carbide UI-S60 Theme Editor.
What’s new in this touch screen version? Nothing much actually. The major thing, the UI is optimized to sensitively give response on finger touch or stylus. The interface really resembles previous S60 3rd edition that has been planted in several new Nseries, like N78.
Since Symbian has experienced-under his former subsidiary UIQ-implementing touch screen phone, I don’t think this issue will be a problem. The UI will be good (and smooth) and 5800 Tube will be a major hit-thanks to the nice UI design.
Can this interface be compared to the beauty of Mac-based iPhone 3G? We’ll see the upcoming battle between these beautiful gadgets, while we are waiting for 5800 Tube to be available in the market. May the best handset win!
