Samsung i8510 aka Innov8
Do you still remember about the first 8 MP i8510 from Samsung. Thanks God if you don’t. To refresh your mind for a while, I suggest you to read my post here. Actually, it was just a rumor. But now, it isn’t. Samsung has officially launched it on Thursday, July 24, 2008 and one of big boys like Laptop Magazine had even handed-it down. Though it was just for five minutes!
Samsung i8510 hand-on
From all features which Laptop Magazine’s Avram Piltch had been written, I think this is the one that need to be your attention.
A lens shutter that opens and shuts automatically:
Not enough camera phones have shutters to protect their lenses from the inevitable scratches and dust they get bouncing around in your pocket or purse. Those that do have shutters usually force you to open and close them manually. The shutter on the i8510 opens when you’re shooting and closes when you’re done.
Talking about this feature, I think that Sony Ericsson is also giving the same thing with their new SE C902 series. However, this 5 MP cellphone can’t do that automatic stuff yet. Later, I bet that Sony will mimic Samsung in this cool feature.
So here is the Samsung i8510’s quick and official specifications.

Wow. The specs on this phone are very impressive. Considering that this is Samsungs first 8mp phone that i know of. Its really a big toss up, I’m still using an old D900 which i love its a great phone but i thought about the new U900 Soul which i really liked, and now i’m seeing this thing. I really is a great looking device i’ll give it that. Can’t wait to see it in person and read a real review.
here is some more spec
