HTC Touch Diamond Ad in Indonesia

In cellphone industry, a great way to send a signal of battle to your rivals is by putting your ad on TV. Yes, it is expensive, exclusive, and memorable. Yet, people will see you differently ever after.

Special for Indonesian cellphone market, all the biggest player here are all the one who show their products in TV. We are witnessing Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, and Motorola to run down their products over the Indonesia’s TV show.

But now, Indonesian is witnessing a new ad from HTC too. It is, perhaps, the first TV-ad from this Taiwanese. What product is that? Yep you’re right. An HTC Touch Diamond which being charged at Rp. 6.900.000,00 (US$700) in StudioHP. Here we go. The HTC Touch Diamond ad campaign in Indonesia’s TV Channel.

And surely, I don’t have any idea whether there is a relation between handset sales and its ad on TV. But the facts are just want to say, “Yes it is!”. What I mean with this is that most of Chinese-made cellphone in Indonesia are too poor to be shown on TV. Well, except a small amount of them. Most of Chinese-made is bloody cheap yet comes with a lot of features. After all, why would force yourself showing your ad on TV if your product is just a copy-cat from other vendors. Ha .. ha … ha …

But still, Chinese is a great nation. They prove it they can.
