For those who doesn’t like having a Blackberry handset, but want to use Blackberry Connect service; you need to look for old Nokia Eseries devices since Blackberry Connect isn’t available anymore in latest Eseries. The newest Nokia E71 and E66 are not equipped with capability on connecting with Blackberry Connect.

Nokia UK Managing Director, Simon Ainslie, said:

RIM are a competitor and have done a reasonable job in a space that is traditionally ours, so it’s no great surprise that we see this as an opportunity to give consumers a proper choice on what email solution they want.

I think it is a premature decision since Nokia isn’t the leader in push email technology. Its support for Microsoft Exchange is great; but of course not all companies are using Exchange, especially for those who doesn’t use Microsoft based server.

Bottom line of the story, if your company is using Blackberry Connect service for their enterprise mail server, you shouldn’t change your religion from Blackberry handhelds to Nokia Eseries.
