Sprint has unveiled Sprint Web mobile browser
Sprint, America’s third largest wireless carrier, has unveiled their new specific mobile web browser called Sprint Web. What makes this browser become special is that because it can give its users an adaptive homepage based on users’ own experience. For example, if users frequently visits political sites or blogs like The Huffington Post, they will be greeted with political issues on their home page. It is almost look like iGoogle or My Yahoo! yet automatically.
Aside from that features, Sprint Web also give its users three extra stuffs such as new automatic web optimization to view complete internet pages easily, Google search on the homepage, and categories to manage users’ account, messages, premium content, etc. This browser is now available on more than 40 Sprint-powered handsets. Among of them are Palm Centro and Samsung Instinct. To enjoy this service, users only need to go the main menu of his mobile phone then select web or browser.
But just for your information, this browser-based service is not free at all. Sprint’s users who want to enjoy this service should purchase “Everything Plan” or Talk/Message/Data Share plans. In case when you’re not, you can still enjoy this service by adding a Data Pack or Data Premier for an additional monthly fee or by purchasing every kb with 3¢.
Note:
If any Asian out there right now who are also using the specific web browser by their wireless carriers, feel free to drop us a comment since we would love to know and report it here.
Perhaps we should also check (read: survey) what browser do Sprint’s users occasionally used to surf the web. Is it Sprint Web or others like Opera, Skyfire, etc?
