iPhone 3G will crush India on August 22
Namaste India. Aaja mahiya … hooo … hooo .. hooo aja mahiya.
Congratulation for our Indian iPhone lovers. It is official now, Bharti Airtel is going to launch the iPhone 3G in August 22. If you are one of million of people out there who are so passionate to grab this touch screen queen on your motherland, feel free to hang up in front of Bharti Airtel’s service outlets. Go on, make a line up. Take your own pictures. Send it to Flickr then shout us for some of that. We’ll publish you here.
Despite the lack of 3G network on their country, I think there’s nothing can stop everybody in welcoming the iPhone 3G. Neither Nokia’s price cut or Blackberry’s popularity. Except one thing perhaps, Shahrukh Khan charisma
Ok, just forget about that.
Currently, there is a race between Bharti Airtel and Vodafone to be the earliest iPhone 3G launcher in the world’s second largest population. However, I think that this is not a big problem for Apple to consider. What matter for Steve Jobs and co’s from this country is that it can help Apple to reach their target regarding iPhone market share in all over the world. Per April 2008, India has gained about 261.09 million wireless subscribers. But not just that, India is also to be the world’s largest country in term of iPhone retail outlets that has reached 250.000 stores.
Surely, that’s a lot of number right Steve? Chances are that some of them will switch from XYZ phone to Apple iPhone. Congrats!
