Analyst: Apple could sell 4.47 million iPhones on this Q3

Gene Munster, a Piper Jaffray analyst has estimated that Apple should be able to sell iPhone for as much as 4.47 million units this quarter. This is a 9% increasing compared to his own previous guess at 4.1 million and up to 299% from 1.12 million Apple could sold on September last year. The reasons for this analysis are somewhat classical. First, Apple has given us the cheaper price tag. Last, 22 countries are far better than two or fours.

And this is how he just did that

Munster, together with his staffs, predict that each Apple’s retail store is selling about 95 iPhones per day. So from this result he can multiply this number with the sum of all Apple stores. Weird isn’t?

In addition to this prediction, Munster has not yet included the Apple-Best Buy new agreement on selling this handset starting at September 7. Though we can’t guarantee yet whether this cooperation will bring such a nice sales result or not, we may assume that this one could sum up Apple’s revenue too.

Do you agree with him?
