This is what I called initiative. OpenClip-ran by independent developer, Zac White-will help Apple to implement copy and paste fuctionality into iPhone (and 3G version, doh!). OpenClip currently has created technology that enable developer to use it for cut and paste feature, not only for iPhone.

The application will soon be available in American Heritage Dictionary, Roget’s Thesaurus apps, Twittelator (a Twitter client), Magicpad word processor, Wall Street Worlds financial lexicon, etc.

Actually not only OpenClip that already created a solution. iCopy-created by Preston Monroe-is also able to handle “cut and paste” of a text in browser and e-mail application. Cut and paste feature has been a polemic for recent months, due to lateness of Apple to acknowledge this issue. Thank God we have someone like Zac White that brilliantly (hopefully) solved the case.

May this feature be integrated into iPhone (and 3G version) as soon as possible
