iPhone 3G in India. Crowded!
I want to look forward over this fact. Currently, I am reading some of India-based online news sources and the fact is that the iPhone 3G has got a lot of attention as well as buyers on its first official debut. Check it out here (IBN Live) and here (One India).
iPhone 3G launch by Bharti Airtel at Gurgaon’s Sahara Mall
There were more than 100 people gathered here to become the first Indian who own this touch screen pioneer. From that hundred of people, Swati has become a lucky Indian who grab this gadget which sold at Rs 31.000 (8 GB) and Rs 36,100 (16 GB). Well, she bought an 8 GB version and said that she has no problem with such expensive price. Oh no …..
iPhone 3G launch by Vodafone Essar
Unlike Bharti Airtel, Vodafone launched and sold their iPhone 3G via its 11 stores across Delhi. So, no wonder if there were no crowd are happened during the launch of this gadget. Even one of that store in Delhi’s COnnaught had only five people who were waiting to buy this candybar handset.
What next?
Bharti Airtel said that they will launch iPhone 3G across six cities in the country. While Vodafone will sell this iPhone latest version in 65 cities, including in Hyderabad and Bangalore.
Well, if only Apple could record a good sales result with this price plan, I’m just thinking that I would better change my perception on this case. Bravo Apple!

am pained to see how the Indian culture is getting eroded day by day. Is it necessary for a 14 year old kid to have a cell phone in the first place? Looks like the father’s mental growth is 5 year old. Just read this kid’s statement he can not wait to show it off at school! We are raising our next generation to do more of SHOW OFF than living with real indian cultural values. This kid at the age of 17 will have many girl friends and will start the adultery life also early and drop out from school then will find a low paying job. Will get into addictions and marry a women then divorce that women become alcoholic and violent! This is what the future Indian lifestyle is going to be! I live in the US more than 10 years, I do not even own a personal cell phone! I think there is no need of this nuisance besides I do not have to pay monthly 90$ to a company rather I give that money to charity

Any news when iPhone 3G will come to Indonesia? It seems to me that most people here (I’m an American Expat) prefer the pre-paid phone services, not the post-paid monthly ones. I am curious if the iPhone will simply sell at the “non plan” prices, or will there be some partnerships too, like with Indosat and Blackberry.
Thanks!
