Today in London, Sony Ericsson announced its latest G-series edition, named G705. Positioned as organizer plus business phone with several productivity application, G705 is one of the Sony Ericsson that will be equipped with WiFi connectivity. In addition, Sony Ericsson also announced the G705u variant, the first UMA (Unlicensed Mobile Access) enabled, that exclusively offered in Orange territories.

As a matter of fact, Sony Ericsson is a bit too late for competing in this area. We already have Nokia’s Eseries, BlackBerry families, and iPhone 3G competed each other. As Xperia X1 has not been in the market yet, Sony Ericsson should catch up as soon as possible to offer it in the market before Christmas.

The G705 features high speed HSDPA connectivity, WiFi enabled, 2.4 inch large screen, 3.2 megapixels camera, 1 GB external memory, and in-built aGPS. And no, this phone won’t be powered with Symbian OS. Moreover, Sony Ericsson has signed partnership with Google for YouTube integration, and G705 will be the first phone to have YouTube compatibility with more upcoming models to come. Thus, we will find dedicated Google short key with one key press.

G705 will be available in two color variants, Silky Gold and Majestic Black on early Q4 2008. While the American version will be available on Q1 next year.
