RIM’s profit increases 72% in Q2 compared to last year
RIM financial announcement reveals very positive tone. It Q2 result soars up to 72%, compared to same period last year. RIM booked US$ 495.5 million, while last year only profited US$ 287.7 million. Also RIM reported US$ 2.58 billion, means that the profit is 20% of the revenue.
Thanks to 11 million units BlackBerry sold (54% of them are in USA), RIM be able to gear up for Q2. Also, this result is due to the delay of BlackBerry Bold launching in the USA, although it has been offered in several markets, including Indonesia. I believe that the Q3 and Q4 will have astonishing result, as there will be new Bold, Storm, and Kickstart (Pearl Flip) to join the Curve sales.
