Samsung S9402 DuoS dual GSM SIM
This is probably Samsung’s first dual SIM phone, for outside China market. The built is actually quite lux with “hardened scratch resistant display glass and metal frame covered with rhodium (chemical and mechanical damage resistant platinum group metal).” Yet from the picture, I hardly see anything super from the phone, of course inspite of the dual GSM SIM thing. Also it is not a 3G phone, only being equipped with EDGE.
Anyway, these are the full specs of the phone:
- Triband GSM (900/1800/1900 Mhz), GPRS/EDGE connectivity on 1st SIM card
- Dual band (900/1800 Mhz), GPRS/EDGE connectivity on 2nd SIM
- 2-inch AMOLED display
- 5 Megapixel autofocus camera, completed with image stabilization, Smile Detection, WDR and LED flash
- Bluetooth
- 1GB internal memory
- FM Tuner
- microSDHC card slot
There is no further specs of where the phone will be released and how much. I predict this dual kind of SIM phone is only popular among Asian, especially in East Asia and South East Asia.

Samsung Mobile Phone seems to be big on dual SIM card handsets for markets, but I personally do not know anyone who carries dual SIM handsets. Still, that has not stopped the Korean electronics giant to roll out yet another dual SIM phone - the S9402 DuoS. I expect that this will be a luxury phone which is made from premium materials including hardened scratch resistant display glass and a metal frame covered with rhodium.
