Didiom: new kind of music marketplace

One more candidate to challenge iTunes (and iTunes Store). Here come Didiom, founded by Ran Assaf, offering two kinds of interactive services. The first is by streaming the music from computer to your phone wirelessly. All you need to do is downloading and installing the Didiom application into your PC (not yet supporting Mac for now) and identify your phone. It supports more that 200 phones (including BlackBerry and Windows Mobile phones), yet it still only works for US operators. For exception, it cannot transfer a DRM file, like from iTunes. Hopefully, we who are not living in the US may able to test the application soon enough.

The second service is like iTunes Store. The marketplace offers 1.5 million DRM-free MP3 songs. What a DRM-free song? Is it legal? Yet, it is. According to its FAQ page, Didiom has agreement with music providers worldwide. No need to worry about it. The price is competitive. Only 89 cent per song or US$ 9.99 per album in average, you can have DRM-free MP3 files, legally.
