Coach mobile phone: Sony Ericsson re plus stylish color
On first week of November, KDDI au, the Japan CDMA operator, is about to launch limited number of Coach mobile phone. This is part of Coach Japan campaign to celebrate its birthday. There will be 1941 units to be offered for 19,410 Yen each, since Coach Japan is founded in 1941. Coach is a fashion brand, specialized in leatherware.
The phone is not actually built from scratch. It is built from Sony Ericsson re, a latest product in CDMA line up of Sony Ericsson Japan. The re phone is campaigned as Full Change which lets you customize the color of each of its parts. Thus, Coach only provides the outer part and voila, “new phone” has arrived.
This is definitely a great buzz and win-win solution to all three parties. Definitely we will wait for other operator and manufacturer to join similar move.
