G1 is illegally found in China for almost USD 600
Google’s software products may not that famous in China, but its phone product, the T-Mobile G1 has been reported to be sold in big bucks there, illegally. Of course this condition could happen if the supply is low, while the demand is definitely higher. The phone may enter the country using dubious channel, and offered for 3,999 Yuan (about US$ 580), plus another US$ 70 for unlocking.
T-Mobile G1 is the first Linux based Android platform phone to be in the market. It was previously available in USA and now it is ready too in United Kingdom. Google is the leader of the development, while HTC-Taiwan’s manufacturer-is the form factor maker. It is clearly a sign for G1 to be release in Asia, as the demand-or curiousity-is getting higher, probably like when iPhone is firstly launched.
